Ivona Poljak is an experienced health and clinical psychologist with many years of experience working with patients suffering from malignant and chronic illnesses. Her professional focus is on providing psychological support, clinical assessment, palliative care, and educating medical staff through lectures and training courses.

She currently works as a health psychologist at the Oncology Clinic of University Hospital Centre (KBC) Zagreb, where she supports patients, conducts clinical assessments, and participates in the education of medical personnel.

She has also worked at Merkur University Hospital, where she was involved in psychodiagnostics, individual and group counseling of patients, and organizing support groups. At the interdisciplinary therapy center ReAktiva, she was responsible for neuropsychological assessments and training physiotherapists.

She earned her degree in psychology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, where she later completed a specialist program in clinical psychology. She continuously advances her professional development through various trainings, including body-oriented therapy and therapeutic approaches based on acceptance and compassion.
