Body Sculpting – Laser Lipolysis Under Local Anesthesia

Modern liposuction – differences compared to superficial cosmetic treatments

Body sculpting utilizes permanent fat removal through various medical procedures such as liposuction, lipolysis, and its modifications. Fat grafting, or transferring one’s own fat from one area to another, is used to fill in areas lacking fat. Unlike the many short-term treatments offered in the form of slimming skin creams or surface treatments in cosmetic salons and massage parlors, medical body sculpting procedures are scientifically proven to effectively remove fat, tighten loose skin, and positively impact cellulite.

Modern liposuction is performed under local tumescent anesthesia, unlike traditional liposuction, which is done under general anesthesia. A significant advantage of local anesthesia is that patients can go home immediately after the procedure. Additionally, precision in modeling is vastly improved as the patient can stand up and change positions during the procedure. Due to limitations on the amount of local anesthetic that can be administered, regions are treated separately, and no more than 3 liters of fat can be removed in a single session.

This significantly eases and accelerates the process, allowing for more precise fat removal with less tissue damage, fewer bruises and pains, a faster recovery, and better results.

Laser lipolysis

At Polyclinic Sinteza, we use vibrational liposuction under local anesthesia and often combine it with laser lipolysis to further tighten the skin after fat removal. The effect of the laser on skin tightening can be enhanced by applying Med Contour treatment before and after body sculpting.
